The rise of the Tigray Peace Force (TPF) is emerging as a force to liberate Tigray, and the TDF fighters are flooding to join the TPF struggle against the TPLF’s repressive political ideology. The TPF is leading the struggle for change, with its main aim to safeguard the interests of Tigrayan people. It has rejected the TPLF’s repressive dogma and chosen to put the interests of Tigrayan people first above the TPLF’s narrow party interests. Because of this clear and unambiguous aim, the well-known heroic TDF fighters, the youth and militia, including Berhe Guma from Wejerat, are joining it. Its support from the people is growing day by day.
The TPF has stood as the army of the people. It strives to struggle for the people of Tigray’s freedom and liberty and to free Tigray from the TPLF’s corrupt and repressive political system. The TPF’s renewed focus not only has the potential to heal past divisions but also to shape Tigray’s future. By embracing a more holistic approach to changing TPLF’s bad governance and authoritarian rule into democracy, the TPF is cultivating a sense of solidarity that can lead to political reform, sustainable development, and peace in Tigray.
The TPF is bridging the gaps to build a cohesive society that thrives on the peace and security of the people of Tigray. This approach instils a sense of responsibility, justice, and accountability for people to determine their future and realise their aspirations. This shift reflects a growing desire for solidarity among the people for a more inclusive and representative political identity. Consequently, many are now seeking unity that goes beyond party lines, fostering collaboration among various groups to address shared challenges and rebuild the unity of Tigray that was fractured by the TPLF’s backward politics.
As the TPF is leading the way to restore the people of Tigray’s dignity and democratic rights, its innovative ideas and fresh perspectives can drive meaningful change, paving the way for a democratic and prosperous Tigray.
