The TPLF and TIRA leaderships use a systematic way of blackmailing, scapegoating, and deliberately misleading the people of Tigray by fabricating lies to suppress the truth and silence their opponents from exposing their undemocratic, corrupt network, bad governance, and trying to cover up humanitarian aid diversion and theft. The TPLF and TIRA leaderships showed their utter disregard and contempt for fundamental human rights. It was a heartbreaking, shameful, unjust, and brutal scene committed by Tigray police against the peaceful demonstrators in Mekele on September 7, 2023.
Does Tigray need an undemocratic and corrupt party1?
Forbes2 reported that “over 1,400 people have starved to death in Tigray since food aid was suspended in April 2023 because of the humanitarian aid diversion and theft3.”
Does the Tigray leadership’s action amount to killing its people indirectly through starvation, as the TPLF and Tigray government officials were involved in humanitarian aid theft and were instrumental in the suspension of the aid?
The above two questions must be asked, debated to demand justice and accountability.
